Trick or Treat...Part One

So, tonight I took Maddie on her first trick-or-treat experience. It didn't go so well, but she was the cutest lion I saw all night. She didn't really like her outfit, so she was constantly trying to pull it off. We managed to keep it on at my Grandma Marva's, at Helen's parents, and through a trunk-or-treat at a church. We'll try again, because tomorrow her daycare is taking the kids to local businesses and Sunday is trick-or-treat in Effingham. I would skip the Effingham night, but Stephen was in Detroit tonight and missed his lion eating candy bars that were still in the wrapper.

Only full lion shot that I got the whole night.

Get this stinkin' thing off of me!

Why is my costume trying to swallow me?

Cousin William as Woody from Toy Story....too cute!

Dorothy, aka Ruby, mid-throw at her Nanny Susan's

She is continuing to get smarter every day and talks non-stop in a language that I don't understand. She also continues to be a pistol. She is working on her two-year molars and it is not a happy process for any of us. These seem to be the teeth that are taking the longest to break through and the teeth to cause the most pain. She is currently not sleeping through the night, which is not good for anyone involved.

Her favorite outfit. Thank heavens for the Indian Summer, but I'm afraid the cold has moved in.

Steve made it home from Japan after a tiring week and a tiring trip home. He has really struggled with jet lag this time, so the next 3 international trips probably won't be much fun for any of us. I was afraid Maddie would be a little weird towards him since he was gone for 10 days, but she was super, super happy to see his car pull into the drive.

Waiting for dad....is that his car?

Waiting for him to get through the door...yeah!

Running laps of excitement around the living room....he's home!

Dance of joy for daddy!

The pregnancy continues to go well...as far as pregnancy goes for me. God bless the women who enjoy this process. My belly already feels like it is going to explode. I'm starting to feel less sick, but the barfing isn't completely gone. I've also got a lot of back pain if I stand up, but heartburn if I sit down. Only 16 1/2 weeks to go...not that I'm impatient for February to get here or anything!

My '20-week' picture that I finally got taken at 23 weeks. I hate to see me at 33 weeks. Yikes!
