Orlando Visit

We completed and survived one of the shortest trips to Orlando ever. We attended Kendra (Steve's cousin) and Eddy's wedding, which was a lot of fun. They had a beautiful ceremony and fun reception...a truly great wedding. We were happy they shared their day with us. Congratulations!

                                                        Flying over St. Louis......

Maddie (and her parents) survived her first airplane flight. On the way down she napped briefly. When she woke up she was pretty good, but the last 45 minutes or so were not the best. She is at a point in her life when she wants to be on the move at all times, so being stuck on mom or dad's lap doesn't go over very well. Everyone around us swore she was fine, but people lie. :) On the way home, she fell asleep as soon as we were in the air and didn't wake up until we started to descend. We paid for it on the drive back from the airport, though. She managed to scream the entire hour and a half, no matter what song and dance mommy did. She also had her first blow-out, but that is a story for another time!

The Florida sun is a little too bright!
It was also good to see the Florida Folks, since we don't see them all that often. Everyone except Brian was there. He is currently on business in Antartica....no, that isn't a typo, he's actually there, as crazy as it sounds. He was definitely missed by us all. Maybe we will be able to visit him around Christmas, if we are able to get down there again in a couple of months. Alice got her wish and Maddie made it into the pool. Florida is getting some record high temps and it was around 90 degrees the whole time we were there, so the pool felt quite good. As I write this post, our temperatures are in the 30s at night, so I have already forgotten the warmth I was complaining about two days ago.

Her top front teeth have come in and they are beauties. We think she has inherited my teeth, because right now they are rather large and have a gap. I had a gap when I was baby...or so my pictures tell me. She is starting to look too grown up for my liking. Next thing you know, she'll be graduating. I better enjoy her being mommy's girl while I can. She is my sweetie!

A cutie with 4 teeth!
