Maddie is doing slightly better in the clinginess department, but only if the weather is nice enough to go outside. Luckily, we have had beautiful weather the last week (minus a little rain), with temperatures hitting 80 once or twice. We've spent all our evenings at home outside until dinner. If the weather doesn't cooperate and Maddie is being a grump, I just click on Blue's Clues and she is as pleasant as a peach. She LOVES that show, but she definitely has a preference for the original host and not the new guy. Poor Joe just can't compare to Steve. It must be in the name. She still throws tantrums, but she has some other new tricks, too. She will give hugs, blow kisses, and follow some directions. She has also developed two phrases....'bad dog' and 'stop it'. We think she thinks 'bad dog' is the word for dog, because she says it every time she sees or hears a dog, no matter what it is doing. I guess we need to take our dogs for obedience classes!
Other than that there isn't much to report. With the nice weather we'll start getting out more. We're planning a trip to St. Louis Zoo with my brother's family, and a vacation to Melbourne Beach in June. Maybe then we'll be a little more interesting!
Taking great joy in chasing Gracie with her sign. She laughed hysterically as Gracie ran away from her; Gracie did not find it to be so funny!
When she was good, she was very good! Maddie really can be a sweetie when she wants to be. Getting rid of the pacifier isn't going so well!
Yesterday we spent the whole day outside with no accidents and then, BAM! You try to look in the trunk of your car for your gumball (off the trees) stash, and the trunk breaks off. Sidewalks are not so nice to faces.
Mmmmm.....Nutella!
On a final note, Steve would like to say..........Duke SUCKS!!!! We're watching them beat WVU right now, and things aren't going Steve's way. Go Butler! (And, I'm only allowed to say that because UNC isn't in the tournament.)
